Focused Lens runs in your menu bar or system tray and tracks your activity locally. Each platform below lists its installer, version, release date, and SHA-256 checksum.

macOS will block the first launch

This alpha is not signed or notarised by Apple, so Gatekeeper refuses it the first time. To open it: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the Security section, click Open Anyway next to the Focused Lens message, then confirm. Right-click → Open does not work on macOS 15 and later.

Because the build is unsigned, macOS ties permissions to that exact copy of the app, so every update needs Accessibility re-granted — remove the old entry with the − button before re-adding it. Verify the SHA-256 checksum below before opening.

Verify the download

Compare the SHA-256 checksum above with the file you downloaded before installing. On macOS run shasum -a 256 <file>; on Windows run Get-FileHash <file>.

New to Focused Lens? Follow the setup guide. After installing, grant Accessibility permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, then quit and reopen the app — tracking will not start until you restart it.
